Innocent Hearts Group celebrated World Tourism Day
Jalandhar, September 27, 2021: To
raise awareness regarding tourism’s social, cultural, political and economic
values globally, School of Hotel Management of Innocent Hearts Group of
Institutions organized a virtual PPT session and Painting Competition on the
eve of World Tourism Day. Both activities were organized under the theme
“Tourism for inclusive Growth.”
The Virtual PPT Session was taken up by Assistant Prof. Sukhjeet Kaur.
She acquainted the students with history and importance of tourism day. She
highlighted the importance of Inclusive growth in tourism and mentioned that
working for inclusive growth means getting everybody behind for a better vision
of tourism. She stated that tourism plays a key part in advancing social
learning and to show public how tourism affects the economic values of a country.
In painting competition students have drawn beautiful paintings to highlight
the need of Inclusive Growth in Tourism Sector.
The winner of painting competition was simranjit singh (BTTM-7th Sem).
The virtual session was concluded by Chef Gagandeep Humpal (Head, School of
Hotel Management). He appreciated the efforts of faculty members and students
for organising such a wonderful virtual event and congratulated them for the
same. He stated that social and economic benefits that tourism brings must be available
to everybody. As tourism grows, the benefits will be felt at every level, from
the biggest airline to the smallest family business.
