IHGI Pays Tribute to Martyrs Through Literary and Creative Initiatives.
Jalandhar, March 21, 2026: Innocent
Hearts Group of Institutions (IHGI) and Innocent Hearts College of Education
paid heartfelt tribute to the legendary martyrs Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru,
and Sukhdev Thapar by organizing a series of meaningful activities. The NSS
unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education observed Martyrs’ Day with a
slogan writing competition on the theme ‘Reviving slogans of Immortal Indian
freedom fighters’. Students enthusiastically recalled powerful patriotic
slogans like “Inquilab Zindabad” and “Sarfaroshi ki tamanna…”, which once
ignited the spirit of freedom. Krishan Gopal Singh secured the first position
in the competition.
Adding to the spirit of patriotism, the IHGI Literary Club organized a vibrant
event titled “Inquilab: A Literary Tribute to Bhagat Singh” at Horizon Hall.
The event featured an insightful introduction, followed by engaging activities
like the “Revolution Ballot Box,” where students expressed their views on
freedom in today’s era. A powerful monologue, “Main Bhagat Singh Hoon,”
captivated the audience, while a quiz on India’s freedom struggle enhanced
participants’ knowledge. Team Revolutionary Mind — Komal, Akansha, and Khushboo
Verma — emerged as winners of the quiz competition. The event was further enriched
by an inspiring address by Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Dhanju, Director Academics, who
encouraged students to uphold the values of courage and patriotism. The
initiatives concluded on an inspiring note, leaving students motivated and
deeply connected to the ideals of sacrifice, patriotism, and nation-building.
